Online and in-house items originally purchased from Leon Megé are acceptable for repair and cleaning. All repairs are done without delay, minimizing the waiting time. Appointment is required for routine cleaning and inspections as well as repairs.
Cleaning
Simple cleaning and inspection is generally done while you wait. For special occasions such as weddings and bar mitzvahs, refinishing service may be provided. Repairs
Regardless of the warranty coverage a repair is attempted to be completed on the same day. Early morning appointment might be necessary. Same day repairs are not available on Fridays or on the last working day before a vacation or a holiday. Make sure to inform us of the type of repair needed.
The time required to perform a repair cannot be determined precisely until we are able to examine the piece and assess the damage. There is also a possibility that hidden issues will be uncovered or the process of repairing will unintentionally cause a problem. Any unintentional damage caused by a repair is a client’s responsibility. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by a repair. In a case where a cost of a repair might exceed $100 we will ask for you consent first. Work will not start until you give us a green light. Upon completion, cleaned and inspected by our quality control team it will be sent back to you with a carrier of our choice.
Adjustments
A fee is required for all adjustments such as sizing, etc, except one time complimentary sizing on selected pieces (see below). Stock purchases (eternity style wedding bands excluded) and custom made pieces set with stones purchased through our Ambassador Service qualify for a one time complimentary sizing free of charge with some exceptions:
- Rings set with gemstones other than diamonds
- Rings purchased as “final sale”
- Rings with excessive signs of wear
- Ring with specially constructed adjustable movements such as: Mege-Charnière, Finger Mate or SureFit
Eternity set wedding bands will not be sized (excluding our exclusive Stolen collection™ band. Minor adjustments will not void the warranty. The following sizing is considered minor:

Alterations
Any alteration voids the warranty.
Leon Megé jewelry is designed with excellent craftsmanship and professionalism. Any supplements and modifications will alter the original aesthetics of the item. Any unauthorized alteration or enhancement to a genuine Leon Mege piece in addition to voiding the warranty will render it fake. A second hand sale of a Leon Megé piece(s) will cause it to be removed from the catalogue of signed pieces and void the warranty. We reserve the right to refuse any repair for any reason. The warranty will be voided in the following cases: The piece was repaired or altered by a third party without Leon Megé's written authorization The piece is damaged beyond repair. We may offer an assistance in filing a claim with your insurance company There is an outstanding unpaid balance stemming from client's prior custom work or purchases that the client refused to settle or pay on time.
We are not engaged in the business of selling second hand or imperfect merchandise. However, in an exceptional situation when such a sale might occur, the warranty will not apply to any estate jewelry, items sold as a "final sale," or any previously worn items sold "as-is." Please check the warranty status prior to purchasing.
In no event shall Leon Megé Inc. be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of customer's purchase or use of any product or service, even if Leon Megé, Inc. has advance notice of the possibility of such damages. Due to their intended usage, Leon Megé Inc. makes no warranties whatsoever, expressed or implied, written or oral, to purchasers of their products regarding performance, safety, fit, merchantability, or length of service. Purchasers are responsible for the selection of proper goods and must rely on their own skills or judgment that such goods are suitable for purchasers’ application.
Natural variations and imperfections in products made in whole or in part of natural materials, such as gemstones, are not considered defects. A small degree of asymmetry, measurement variations and minor irregularities are acceptable due to unique nature of bench made jewelry created by human hands without the use of heavy machinery or casting. Metal may be affected by an insignificant amount of porosity. It may scratch, bend or crack under excessive stress. Proper care must be exercised by the consumer to wear, store, and clean the product.
