Diamonds and Gemstones Inspection

We offer virtual stones as well stock stones. Stock stones are those wholly or partially owned by Leon Mege, Inc. Virtual stones are being sourced on the open market and are subject to limited availability. Different set of rules applies to either category. All stones are available for examination via video and/or macro and regular photography.

  • Stock stones are available for your inspection and approval either at our showroom or in the privacy of your own home.
  • Virtual stones are available for an inspection at our location only. We may consider sending a virtual stone to your home in certain cases. Please check with our Diamond Ambassador.

Stones must be paid in full prior to shipping for an inspection. You have 5 days to examine and return the stone, otherwise considered sold. Stone must be returned in perfect condition with all certificates, packaging undamaged, etc. Customer is responsible for shipping cost both ways. It will be deducted from amount refunded. However, if stone is purchased, the return shipping fee will be waived. Refund is issued upon examination of goods within 2 business days. We do not charge restocking fees for stones sent for inspection. Gemstones paid with a credit card or sold at a reduced price are not returnable. Virtual stones can not be returned or refunded without our prior approval. No refunds will be issued. No stone may be returned once the work/purchase order has been signed.

Jewelry

  • Custom work cannot be returned, refunded or exchanged. Refunds for engraved, customized and otherwise personalized items are not endowed under any circumstances. 
  • Online purchases may be returned within 7 days for a refund minus 20% restocking fees except items that are back ordered. Back ordered items are custom made and cannot be returned. Please verify your actual finger size with us prior to purchase. 
  • Any item sold at a discount or using our “Make me an offer I can’t refuse“ feature is a final sale. 
  • In-house purchases are final sale. 
  • All items must be returned in their original state and condition. Please note that you may not use goods that you have received before deciding to withdraw from the purchase. The right to withdraw exists to allow you to examine the product in the same way as you would in a shop, not to give you 7 days of free use. If the items are found to be not in their original state and condition upon our examination all return privileges will be withdrawn.

The money will be refunded by issuing a check within 3 business days. International refunds will be issued via wire transfer. Refunds are issued within 3 business days either by check or a wire transfer. Credit card purchases will be refunded back to the card, less 3% bank fee.  

 

Return Process 

  • Contact our office prior to returning your item. Without prior notification, the returned item will not be accepted. You can notify us over the phone or via email. 
  • All returned packages must be insured for the full amount.
  • All original laboratory reports, appraisals and sales receipts must be included with the shipment.
  • If the original grading certificate is not returned along with the stone, a $200 service charge will be applied. All packaging materials such as ring boxes, Certificates of Authenticity, etc. must be returned in their original new condition.
